Foot in Mouth!

Have you ever stuck your foot in your mouth and of course you couldn't take it back? I seen a friend of mine yesterday on campus getting ready to take one of her finals... I sent her a message later asking how she did and told her that I was sorry we didn't get to talk any more than that since we were both busy. You see she's our karaoke buddy and actually runs it at one of the bars. So I only felt OK telling her that I probably wouldn't see her around for awhile since I was preggo and didn't need to go to the bar and karaoke but that I'd still be playing Sing Star on Playstation. (I wasn't sure if she even knew I was pregnant to begin with)

I thought that was pretty casual conversation considering I haven't seen her in awhile. But when I seen her friend status it said something about how insensitive people are and something about rubbing it in. Right then I remembered that I heard she was pregnant at the same time as me and she miscarried a few months ago.... I felt horrible and wish I could take it back but I cannot. I didn't mean for her to feel like I was rubbing my pregnancy in her face or anything. I know some people have a hard time even looking at someone who is pregnant after an event like that. I can't say that I know how she feels or anyone else for that matter because luckily I have never been there (knock on wood, we're not out of the woods yet). I guess she's still having a hard time with it and I apologize for making it any worse.

I've had two miscarriages and the problem is that no matter what you say or don't say- she'll be hurt. Definitely send her a little message and say you realized you may have come off insensitive earlier and that you're sorry.

Perhaps the update wasn't even about you but about something else! But it might mean something to her to talk about it and let her vent about her miscarriage.
