Valentines Portraits

So I have always been ashamed of my body and being naked. I never really got "naked" during the shoot but dang near close to it. Believe it or not I am actually more comfortable with my body because of the shoot and I'm really not ashamed to show these pictures to anyone. I really don't think they show much but a little skin. Don't get me wrong, I would really love to lose about 20 more lbs. but actually seeing the pictures of me now I just don't feel "FAT" anymore. That was my worst fear about doing these kind of portraits was how I seen myself and I thought I would look like a whale. I recommend any woman do these for THEMSELVES because believe me, by the time your done, it makes you feel beautiful, and of course your hubby will love it.

The only concern my mother-in-law had with me posting these pictures is she said I would develop a stalker... I was like Whatever! My hubby said he would stalk me :)

Boudoir self portraits....

So I did a boudoir session with a friend today. I took pictures for her and in return she took pictures of me for my hubby. She had to leave for a few minutes so while she left I took these pictures of myself to kill some time. Not bad for some self portraits with my camera on the tripod set with a timer huh? anyways I had a blast and would love to do some more boudoir sessions. I was comfortable with taking those kind of pictures and she was comfortable with having them taken also. I will post some of the pictures from mine and hers when I edit them a little. Let's just say we had a ton of wardrobe changes so it may be awhile....

Tons of poses

I came across this link to a ton of poses for photography. Just in case I ever get stuck and have a mental block one day (which I know I will) I can look at this and get an idea. There's mens, women's, and couple's poses. Hope someone else can use it too. If not, OH WELL, at least I have it bookmarked on my page :)

DAY 18

I came across a post in a group and it challenged me today to try to get these sun beam flares... I did it but it wasn't as great as the pros... I was just proud that I accomplished the task I set out to do and I actually like the canvas look picture that I made in photoshop. Here are a couple of other versions too!

DAY 17

And as you can see Athena still think she is little, I cannot believe she still fits in the swing. At least you know the weight limits hold up.

My favorite pics

I received some leg warmers and had to take some pictures for a contest. The pictures needed to be in by today. I've been tempted to post them by now, but couldn't. Voting is tomorrow night in our photo group. Here is the link if any women want to join. click here

My neice has been hounding me to post the pictures on my myspace so she could upload them to hers because she loved them. I sent Amber so many it took me 3 emails. I told her to do what she wanted with them and just pick out one for my entry into the contest since there were about 29 I sent. They are the cutest things and have just about any prints you can think of. Check out her shop and also her blog....

To Be or Not To Be CIVIC?

So what exactly is our civic duty? What should we be obligated to do or feel like we should do when it comes to someone breaking to law? I mean when I feel like when my life or someone elses life may be in danger I feel like I need to intervene in someway, don't you agree?

This reminds me of an incident a few years ago when I worked 2nd shift and I was driving home and there were only 2 cars on the road, me and this other SUV who was swurving so bad I couldn't even pass him if I wanted. He would swurve off the road to the right, and then in front of me into my lane. He was going so slow I didn't know if he was falling asleep from being drunk or if he seriously had a medical condition and was almost in a diabetic coma or something, but either way I needed to do something because he was going to kill himself. So I called the local police that we were coming into the town, (luckily I knew the #)

So this brings me to yesterdays incidence. First off I was driving and there is not a car behind me in sight and next thing I knew this black truck is right on my ass. Where the hell did he come from. And I'm not a granny driver either, I speed a little on a reg. basis. Then I was in a 65 zone that was dropping to 50 because of construction and had cones for merging and this black truck just tries to pass me and two other cars including a dump truck almost knocking out the cones. He, I should say she because the tag said BAYBGRL had to been doing 80+ The whole way to my desination she was weaving in and out of traffic like it was going to get her there faster. There was a line of cars and it didn't matter. It probably made it worse. I was sooo tempted to call her in when the passing/cone incident happened and we were still in Oklahoma because I knew the number but once we got into Arkansas I knew it wouldn't matter.

You know a little road rage is fine, you actually have to be a little offensive and defensive on the road these days or else you will never make it. I have my fair share of road rage but if you're going to drive like that LEAVE A LITTLE EARLIER! If I see this person again and this happens again don't think I won't hesitate :) Has anyone else ever felt the need to call on someone in a situation like this?

I feel Lucky...

DAY 9

DAY 10

So I missed posting my day 9 picture of my 365 project yesterday due to I was gone with my Grandma and Mother in Law at Bingo and the Casino. I have to say that I really didn't even have the $20 to go but I scraped together the money from what was left in my pathedic purse and went anyway because I just had a feeling. During the night at Bingo my mother in law did bingo but had to split with another lady and only won about $30 to split between us 3 so it really didn't get us very far. It was the very last cover all that was worth $1000 that I finally did Bingo and I was overly excited and shouted to early. I felt the stares and knew everyone was pissed at me. We left there with over $300 a piece so we deceided to take about $100 each to the casino down the road and right before we were about to go home I hit a machine for $900.... YIPPEE! I had won and took home enough to pay our 6 month car insurance next week. No worries for my hubby anymore. Now I have an alabi why I didn't post my picture.

Here's the story on the DAY 9 pic. I stopped by BEST BUY on my way home and decided to take a pic and edited it in photo shop to say Best butt and of course it's my hubbys... who elses would it be?

365 Project - A Year in Photos

I recently joined a photo group within Cafemom that motivates us to take a photo a day to stretch our imagination and creativity. For those who are learning like me, it gives them practice.... It is called a 365 Project - A Year in Photos. I personally started on day 6 of the year because I didn't know about the project but I am excited about it. For day 6 I submitted my self portrait... the Stepford Wife picture. Today we had steak so I thought it was fitting that I took a picture of the awesomest steak sauce in the world. If anyother female is interested in joining the 365 photo group here is the link or if you just want to join Cafemom

Have a great evening all!

Before and After

I thought these pictures were funny. I took them this morning to show everyone my versatile look :) Funny story, or at least I think it is, I was getting ready for work this morning and I told my hubby I thought I looked like a politicians wife or something with my pearls and flipped out Betty hair. He really didn't see it. But now that I'm editing and looking at the pictures I think I look more like Suzie Homemaker or a Stepford Wife but I know better than that... my husband does more of the kitchen duties... I taught him well :)

I know they may look a little pale in the face, but I normally am pretty pale especially since I went back my natural color brown. Plus I played around in photoshop and used difuse glow and I love that distortion. Makes it look more glamourish. Plus if you click on the pics and enlarge them you'll see it eliminates all the blemishes, my lifesaver.

My Nephew's Pics...

My nephew called me and wanted me to take some senior pictures. He brought his girlfriend along and I took some of them together too. I haven't edited them all but I thought the ones I have so far turned out good. He on the other hand is freaking out about his hair. He is a teenage boy who spends more time on his hair than a girl. They do really like most of the pictures aside from his flyaway hair so he's going to get a haircut and come back for more pictures and this time they are actually going to pay me for a session fee. YIPPEE! They actually think I'm worth it. If only I could get more people to think the same :)

Photoshoot w/ Nieces

Friday I got to hang out with my two gorgeous nieces and we ended up taking a ton of pictures. Both them and I had a blast and we have a bunch of great shots to prove it. They had so much fun that they ended up wanted to spend the night so they had a sleepover at my house that night and we watched scary movies and played with my 4 year old.
