Fun at the Park

I had the day off yesterday also and had 2 doctors appointments that I had to drag my darling daughter to. Afterwards to reward her for being so good we went to the park so she could play and of course I took my camera along... taking pictures is a bonding time between us. She loves it and I love to do it. Here a just a few of the many I took.

I am loving this one where she looks like a giant by the tree....

Out of Date Spices... Interesting Link!

With Thanksgiving sneaking up next week this link really peaked my interest. I ran across this link on a blog that I read through someone else's blog they followed. http://www.mccormick.com/Spices101/HowOldSpices.aspx

How often do you really clean out your spice cabinet? I know the last couple time I've moved I've just packed them up and moved them with me and havn't check the dates. You can look at the bottom of the spices on the Mccormick spices and get the code and key it in on the website and it will tell you how old it is. I know my Mother-In-Law looks like she has Ancient spices, sometimes I'm scared to eat her cooking :x

Candycanes...

So I was just playing around last night and made a cheesy christmas background.... I LOVE CANDYCANES! On the other side I plan on putting a red one with christmas ornaments. I was just playing around when I took that picture of Athena to test it out... I played with it a little in photoshop too trying to figure some stuff out, which I couldn't but I found an artistic look so I thought it was cool. The candycanes just popped, and she looks kind of like a maniquin doll.

HELP ME! I NEED A NAME!

So my hubby thinks that Wendiful Moments is kinda cheesy... it might be, but it's part of my name in the title and part of wonderful... I thought it was catchy... and original. I guess he doesn't get that, anyways I'm not sure what everyone else besides him thinks... please be honest. I have posted a poll on my page with some names one of which is just my full name, and the other is All About Me, I always said if I had a variety store and owned my own biz I would call it that... my husband thinks I make everything about me anyway, when I take photos I could make it all about them.... If you have any other suggestions to play upon those names or new ones that you decided not to use throw them my way PLEASE!

I have a friend who wants to make me a watermark for my photos and until I know what I want to be called it's kind of pointless for her to make it....

My cowgirl...

When I took pictures of my friend Devin's family this weekend, my daughter tagged along and played. I took a few pictures of her while we were at it... They turned out quite cute if I say so myself... :)

Leadership...

Just when I think I've got too much on my plate and I cannot do anymore, I get back into Leadership. Don't get me wrong I love to help others become successful too, thus making me successful in the process :) it is just time consuming. I'm actually excited about getting back into it though, and have been meaning to do it for awhile, just wish I had more time in the day to go prospecting for people to sign up.

Here is a little bit about what has been going on with me this week!

As some of you already know I sell AVON, and my District Sales Manager expects us to go to regular meetings. I try to attend all of the sales meetings, but there are also Monday leadership meetings at Sweet Bay, which used to be quite a bit out of my way since it was in Fort Smith and I live in Oklahoma and they only last 30 minutes to an hour but now that I work at the University I can take a later lunch and go. I may start going regularly again. Anyways while I was there AT the leadership meeting one of my good friends whom I had signed up once before left me a message saying she wanted to sign up again... I WISH MORE PEOPLE WHO WANTED TO SELL AVON WOULD JUST FALL INTO MY LAP LIKE THIS :) If you want to check out my Avon website go to http://www.youravon.com/wclaborn

I also sell Scentsy Wickless Candles. They are my LOVE and PASSION. My website is http://www.scentsy.com/2546 Also my new friend Danielle Porter has also decided to sell Scentsy... She signed up this weekend and I don't think she has unveiled it yet on her blog but it is wonderful. She had got some Scentsy products from me and LOVED them so much that in itself speaks for itself that she had to sign up. She posted a link to my website once and said how awesome they were... but if you want to check out her blog http://dporterphotography.blogspot.com/

If anyone is interested in signing up to sell Scentsy visit my website at http://www.scentsy.com/2546 and click start a business at the top or go to this link and make sure it says wendy claborn-certified consultant at the top https://www.scentsy.com//forms/frm_enrollment_options.aspx?

If anyone is interested in signing up to sell AVON contact me via email at luckeelady@pinncom.com I currently cannot sign people up online, I can only sign people up locally so if you live close by call or email me.

I really want to help others be successful.... Now's the time to make extra money for X-mas or earn FREE products for the Holidays....

Montgomery family

All in all I think the shoot went pretty well today... except for the fact they were one kid short. He didn't make it back from Fort Smith in time, maybe next time I'll actually get pictures of the third kid :) anyways I took well over 100 pics and most of them were great... of course I can't post all of them on here. I wish I could of got more of all of them together but when they sat on the log all together it started to crack so I snapped a few and they made a mad dash!!!

We made Daddy take off the OU hat and he put on this cowboy hat... he refused at first but gave in... It actually looked kinda good considering he was sitting on a haybale :)

Beautiful Day today!

It has been so cold lately that when I walk outside to take the dog out I realized it was such a beautiful day and not freezing at all. So me and my baby girl Athena took a stroll outside and took a couple of shots. It was definitely windy though. I'm supposed to go to my friend Devin's after a bit today and take pics of her kids and maybe get some of the whole family. We'll see how that goes. I usually only do individual shots, it's easier.

As you may have noticed I put a little logo called Wendiful Moments.... I'm not really taking pictures for money yet but I would love to be... just doing it for practice and my friends and family are loving the generousity. My friend Felisha came up with the name just playing around one day except she called it Wendiful Studios... I personally liked Moments better since I don't have a studio. Let me know how corny you think it sounds...

Sleepy girl...

So I finally cleaned most of the boxes out of my extra room last. We pretty much use it as storage. Now I can walk around in it and actually do stuff. My husband makes fun of me all of the time for how messy it is but everytime I get an Avon or Scentsy order in and I leave a box around the house or a shipment comes in, he just throws it in the room.... that does not help the clutter and in fact just adds to it and makes me not want to go in there at all!

Anyways... I thought I would play around with my camera last night after cleaning up and made a cheap looking studio out of old sheets. Athena was excited about taking pictures but was so sleepy since it was so close to bedtime, so in most of the pictures she just laid there with her hands behind her head.

Happy Birthday to ME!

My 4 year-old daughter Athena took this picture of me, with the help of her daddy of course. She missed half of my head though, but she sure got a good shot of my gorgeous AVON ring. I was trying to tell her to point the camera up.... but I guess she went to far right.... If anyone is interested in a beautiful Avon cluster statement ring, visit www.youravon.com/wclaborn
My baby girl and my awesome Hubby!

So my hubby surprised me today with a new digital camera. My old one wasn't very good plus it wouldn't hold a charge. I'm so Happy! I havn't really had a chance to take too many pictures other than in the house because it gets dark by the time I get home from work but here's a few of my family. My hubby also surprised me with dinner this evening and my favorite, Newyork style cheesecake. He knows I prefer it over cake anyday :)

She definitely likes trees....

She goes straight for the trees when we go out to take pictures and as soon as I take one or two pictures she says, "OK mom, that's enough let's go to another tree" It's hard to get a variety but hey, at least we have a ton of trees :)
